Watcher
The Watchers have existed since before the creation of Orn. The Watchers were the first Creations of the Chtrxy known as Baam, who lived on the surface of the rocky planetoidesque Exile. As the Watchers built their golden cities and learned, Baam made even greater creations, bestowing fragments of it's power to these "Children" Chtrxy. Together they roamed the Beyond for incalculable, incomprehensible time.
Soulwrought
Legend has it that weapons of great power circulate throughout the entirety of Orn; whether intentionally made or gaining strength through valor or myth, the Soulwrought are weapons that contain spirits which lend their prowess to the wielder in times of strife, sometimes outright possessing them.
Pit-bound
Foot soldiers of The Pit, diablerists in contracted service to fiendish patrons, or anti-paladins bent on desecration, the Pit-bound are both bound by contract, and destined for The Pit. Unequivocally evil, the Pit-bound further the interests of The Pit whether through politics, subterfuge, or military might. The fiendish chains of their contract visibly mark Pit-bound as being chained to their duty, eventually dragging them to their inevitable fates.
Soulshorn
Though the Shattering divided the world, for most, life went on; not so for the residents of Nastal, whose world ended that day. While most of Orn suffered little lasting damage from the Shattering, the lands of Nastal endured unparalleled exposure to the Void. Some say that the troubles that plague Nastal are the result of weakened boundaries between realms, but whatever the reason much of northern Nastal is a wasteland where soulless raiders hunt any travelers who are too slow to evade them. These are the Soulshorn.
Spirit
Spirits are created from the souls of those who meet an untimely death. Whether this be by violent means or an unfortunate accident, the individual returns to unlife through sheer willpower or ritualistically against their will to continue their life's story where it otherwise would have ended.
Death Knight
Unlike shades, who are living beings who serve reapers, death knights are warriors who have forsaken life and sworn an oath to the Ashen Court. Although they often appear normal from a distance, they are easy to identify by their blackened armor, their cold flesh, and the malevolent light that pours from their eyes at night.
Werebeast
Werebeasts, such as werewolves and werebears, are ordinary folk who have succumbed to an ancient curse after being bitten by another werebeast.
Hag
The dark arts are known to warp those who use them, and none exemplify this more than hags. Deep in the Wraithwood, they lure innocent victims to their doom, using their blood in potions and their bones in stew. Over time, such dark perversions grant hags power but twist them into hunched, distorted, wart-covered versions of their former selves.
Lich
Liches are undead spellcasters who have gone to great lengths to artificially extend their lives. By binding their soul to an object known as a phylactery, they remain nearly immortal so long as it survives. While a lich's physical form may be destroyed, unless it's phylactery meets a similar fate, the lich will be able to create a new body.
