An artist unfairly punished for his depiction of a particularly bloody battle. In retaliation, his daughter was taken and brutally murdered, with the statement "DEATH IS NOT ART" written in her blood on the nearby wall. In a desperate attempt to bring her back, he delved into the dark arts of necromancy. His passion and overwhelming drive to accomplish this goal twisted his mind, and the more he immersed himself within these magics of the Nether, the more insane he became.
In his present form, he is both a necromancer and vampire - completely lost to the dark arts, while still obsessing over his daughter's resurrection. He still practices his art through blood and gore, preferring these more visceral forms to standard mediums. He is also still madly in love with Haven Melrose, even now after her ascension as Avaren.
